PETA Wants to Buy Sea World

An anonymous
donor with ties to PETA wants to buy at least one SeaWorld park
to
rehabilitate the animals in marine sanctuaries and then set them free. This
donor would then replace the animals with virtual exhibits.

Would this be a good thing? Or would this donor's money be better spent on making a real impact on the health and welfare of
animals. There are shelters out there without the resources they need to take
care of the animals they have, and so dogs and cats are euthanized on a daily
basis. Animal abuse is rampant. Dog fighting is still a problem. And what about
animals raised for slaughter? Sea World probably doesn’t come cheap, and this
person will only be saving a handful of animals from one park. What about those
at the other parks? What about every single zoo in the world? Maybe that money could be funneled somewhere it could make a really strong impact and
save animals from cruelty and untimely deaths.
